About Greater Lynchburg Habitat For Humanity

Everyone in our community deserves a decent place to live. At Greater Lynchburg Habitat for Humanity, we work with volunteers, donors and partners to rally around individuals within our community to help them own a home they can feel proud of and secure in.

In the United States today, more than half of all adults are making tradeoffs to cover their rent and mortgage. This isn’t just giving up luxuries and items that others would deem as necessary—this includes taking a second job, cutting back on healthcare and healthy food, and moving to less safe neighborhoods. The work that we’re doing will empower the homeowner to take the secure steps they need to take to become more independent.
