The safety of our customers, donors, volunteers, and staff is our priority. In response to the COVID-19 virus, we are taking the following actions in an abundance of caution and to do our part to reduce exposure of at-risk members in our community. We are closely watching the recommendations of local public health agencies and we will update our practices as recommendations change, so please continue to check back here for up to date information.
COVID-19 Response Measures:
- The Habitat ReStore will be temporarily closed beginning March 25, and beginning March 30 donations cannot be accepted. Any merchandise already purchased that is awaiting pick-up can be collected after we reopen. We will publish that date here when we can.
- Effective March 30, the Habitat Office will be closed until further notice. However, staff are working from home and can respond to email and phone calls and messages (434-528-3774). All in-person financial counseling or classes are postponed.
- All volunteer opportunities are temporarily postponed, both at home build sites and at the Habitat ReStore.
Thank you for your support, and please continue to check back here for updated information.
During this crisis, a time of worry and isolation, please remember there are local families in desperate need of a safe and affordable home. We are continuing to build homes, communities, and hope during these difficult days. Consider giving as you are able to help local families know there is a community that cares for them!
