Jersey Mike’s partnered with Greater Lynchburg Habitat for Humanity again for their 2021 Month of Giving to help provide safe and affordable housing in Lynchburg!

You may remember, we began this event last year, but unfortunately, it was canceled due to health concerns during the rise of COVID-19. But Jersey Mike’s in Lynchburg, VA is truly a sub above – they decided to name us as their recipients for their Month of Giving and Day of Giving for the second year in a row because they believe in helping the local families we serve. 

Here’s how it worked: All of March, Jersey Mike’s in Lynchburg promoted us to their customers, shared with them the need to help families build places to call home, and accepted donations.

Then on Wednesday, March 31st – the Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving, 100% of sales went directly make a difference in these families’ lives through Greater Lynchburg Habitat for Humanity!

As an additional benefit to our supporters, Jersey Mike’s provided excellent coupons all month. 

RESULTS – THANK YOU

We are incredibly thankful to everyone who made this year’s Jersey Mike’s Month of Giving so successful – the Jersey Mike’s team, owners, and organization; the Lynchburg community who purchased food yesterday and donated all month long; the Liberty University Volunteers who helped greet people all day long; and the news organizations who helped promote it!


Lynchburg’s Jersey Mike’s 2021 Month of Giving raised $36,234.06 to help local families build and own safe and affordable homes!


Total sales from the Day of Giving were record-breaking for their locations at $21,695.02 and $14,539.04 was donated throughout the Month of Giving!


We are still amazed that Jersey Mike’s donated 100% of their sales for the Day of Giving to us! It is such a generous and kind act! And their team at both locations worked so hard yesterday and had such amazing attitudes!


Fun stats: Yesterday the Old Forest Rd. and Wards Rd. locations sold 2,142 subs. These required 1,458 ft. of bread! And in Habitat language, that length is about 182 stud boards long – which is about half of the frame of an entire Habitat home!

How to Enter: Take a photo of yourself with your Jersey Mike’s Sub on the Day of Giving and post it on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #LynchburgHabitat, or if you do not have social media, email the picture of yourself with the photo to admin@glhfh.org. 

Rules: Entries must be made on March 31, 2021. Participants must have purchased the subs from the Lynchburg Jersey Mike’s locations on the Day of Giving to be eligible. Limited one entry per person. All winners will also be notified via the channel they entered and will have 30 days to claim their prize. 

Drawing: Winners will be announced on April 7 through Facebook live, then posted on Facebook and Instagram.
