Who does Habitat build for?
Our homes are built for individuals and families who have a demonstrated need for housing, can pay an affordable mortgage, and are willing to partner with us to help build homes & take classes to prepare them to be successful homeowners. Habitat offers local families in need a hand up – not a hand out – and empowers them to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

Ways to become a Faith Partner:
Partnering with us means your congregation can become a part of this mission that puts faith into action and has a generational impact on our community.
Our greatest need is financial support to sponsor this home. This page will be updated with sponsorship levels in the coming weeks.
You congregation can also:
- Volunteer together – Learn more here or contact volunteer@GLHFH.org
- Provide meals on the construction site
- Host donation drives for construction materials
- Compile “Welcome Home Baskets” for Habitat Homeowners
- Pray collectively for our mission and for Habitat Homeowners

Help feed our Volunteers
Building a better world is hungry work! You can sign up to provide a lunch or coffee and breakfast goodies for our construction crew on the construction site to help fuel all their good work. If hammers and ladders aren’t your thing or you’re not available for a full day of volunteering, this is a great way to get involved, build community, and support our mission!
We are on the construction site on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. We welcome meals on any of those days and the headcount is usually around 12, but we will confirm that with you as we get closer to your date.

Invite us to speak
Would your congregation like to hear more about the impact Habitat is making in our community and how to get involved? Spreading the word about how Habitat changes lives, builds brighter futures, and puts faith into action is such a joy and we’d love to share it with you.
We can:
- speak to your congregation on Sunday morning
- meet with your small group
- plan a message or activity for youth
