VolunteersGreater Lynchburg Habitat for Humanity has been extremely blessed with a dedicated Mid-Week Crew who build Wednesday and Thursday, and a Saturday Crew. Habitat construction volunteers work together in all kinds of weather to build not only in Lynchburg, but to also join other Habitat affiliates in building endeavors throughout the U.S. and overseas. It's a great way to learn simple home repair techniques and gain new friendships. Volunteers do more than work on Habitat Houses, too. Click here to see volunteers celebrating fellowship...and food! Corporate house sponsors are encouraged to utilize the building skills to strengthen employee interaction by scheduling a work effort that will enable both salaried and hourly employees an opportunity to interact in a constructive way. Click here to see Wiley & Wilson employees in action, both as sponsors and volunteers! Church house sponsors can utilize the building process to demonstrate, in a visible way, their faith in action. This team building component can be arranged by calling the office at 434-528-3774. What Does a Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Do? A volunteer is an angel who can pour beverages, make sandwiches for hungry workers, drive nails, paint, vacuum, wash windows, safeguard the interior and exterior of the home being built by removing building litter. We can also use your skills if you are a photographer, we'll even supply the camera! All kinds of opportunities are available to wear a halo- just call 434-528-3774.
