There are many ways to donate to GLHFH, and we are dependent on the generosity of our individual, business, and faith-based partners to allow us to fulfill our mission.
Giving, both in direct financial contributions and indirect in-kind donations are extremely important. An increasingly important area for us is planned giving, whereby current contributors and other interested parties can leave a legacy that will outlive them and sustain GLHFH in the future.

Our Mission:
As a Christian housing ministry, GLHFH in Lynchburg, Virginia will provide low-income families with opportunities and tools to be successful homeowners.
About Lynchburg Habitat for Humanity:
GLHFH is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International and was established in Lynchburg, Virginia in 1988. Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian ministry that builds high-quality, decent, affordable housing in partnership with God’s people in need.
Over the last twenty years, GLHFH has built 271 new homes, housing over 300 adults and 500 children. The process of building homes for qualified families continues through the generosity of the Lynchburg business community, houses of faith, and individual contributors. The goal of Habitat for Humanity is not just building houses, but building lives and communities one home at a time.

We at GLHFH have a small, dedicated staff that perform key functions; however, we could not have been nearly as successful as we have been without the continued commitment of our volunteers. Some of the volunteer support activities include the following:
Serving on the Board
Serving on Committees
Participating with our construction crew (Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday)
.
Administrative support (e.g. – a volunteer designed this web site)
Encouraging your company or congregation to support GLHFH.
Providing food and refreshment to special work crews.
